Pets Ahoy show at Seaworld, Orlando

Pets Ahoy is a hilarious show with dogs, cats, birds, birds, rats, skunks, pot-belly pigs etc. and other pets performing silly skits. All the animals in this show have been rescued from local animal shelters.

You are setting in the bleachers, full of anticipation, and wondering how the Pets Ahoy show will begin.... The set is interesting, and laid out like an old-time small town located on a beach along the Atlantic coast. You notice it even has a small local radio station. You find yourself mildly amused at the cleverness of the set itself, even before the animals arrive.

Suddenly, things begin to happen all around you. All at once, a cat is running across a rail above your head, while birds are flying about the room as well. All kinds of animals are seemingly going crazy, and dashing across the stage. Even a mouse scurries across the stage for a few moments, running from one structure to another.

You notice that everything from dogs and cats, to Pekin (white) ducks and various other creatures, are running across the stage and coming out of one door, only to run across to another. You can't help but grin as the ducks quack loudly... flapping their wings and darting across the stage, as though they are afraid of the other animals running about around them.

Thus begins an adventure that will include opportunities to watch dogs jumping rope, and performing other tricks (including pretending to drive a small car). You will even witness a dog making a phone call. You will also see cats pulling on ropes to release other animals, so they can go dashing across the stage into various doors and openings in the set.

You will watch as a dog makes a credit card purchase of flowers to take to his girlfriend, as well as another dog that turns out to be quite an accomplished trickster. He obtains treats from his master's picnic basket, without the master knowing what is happening, continually escaping from his collar, and reinserting his head back into the collar to prevent getting caught.

You will be taken to a beach party with the animals, complete with frisbees, jump-ropes, and other toys which the animals seem to greatly enjoy. You will find it hard not to chuckle when the tiny little dog lifts (supposedly) a 1000 pound prop. He does it with such gusto! He seems so sure of himself, he could probably be taught to run some major corporation if anyone is interested.

At one point, one of the animals releases a whole litter of "weiner" dogs from a vending machine advertising "Hot Dogs" for sale.

The animals entertain non-stop with a great variety of acts, until finally a small pig finishes out the set, by letting everyone visually know that he presents the "end of the tale (tail-end)". Then... all the audience members are welcomed by the dogs and their trainers to stop by down front, and pet some of the animals from the show. No matter your age, you will enjoy seeing Pets Ahoy at Seaworld!
